[News] 120901 FTISLAND Concert ‘TAKE FTISLAND’ Rice Wreath Support

Local and overseas fans of FTISLAND sent rice wreath donations in grand scale, in support of FTISLAND’s solo concert ‘TAKE FTISLAND’.

FTISLAND’s solo concert ‘TAKE FTISLAND’ will be held at Olympic Hall, Olympic Park for 2 consecutive days on 1st and 2nd September. Besides local fans, China, Japan, Thailand, Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau, a total of 8 countries, sent rice wreath donations, amounting to 1.66 tons of rice. The 1.66 tons of rice can feed 14,000 people a meal each and they will be donated to children who are suffering from hunger.

FTISLAND’s fans donated a total of 740kg of rice wreath during FTISLAND’s concert last November. During FTISLAND’s 5th anniversary held earlier in June this year, fans also donated a total of 1.27 tons of rice. Seunghyun’s musical ‘Jack the Ripper’ also received 320kg of rice donation last July.

On the other hand, FTISLAND’s management company FNC Entertainment revealed that, “Upon completion of FTISLAND’s concert, they will be releasing a regular album and embark on promotional activities.” FTISLAND will also reveal their new title song to the fans at the concert.

[News] 120418 FTIsland to Hold Concert Tour in 4 Cities in Japan

FTIsland will be holding their ‘FTISLAND Summer Tour 2012 ～RUN! RUN! RUN!～’ concert tour this summer in 4 cities in Japan. There will be a series of 5 concerts for this summer tour, expecting to draw a total of 60,000 fans, covering 4 cities namely, Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya and Fukui. Their concert tour will commence on 24 June and conclude on 8 July.

‘FTISLAND Summer Tour 2012 ～RUN! RUN! RUN!～’ marks FTIsland’s largest concert tour ever. They have created a sensation in Japan ever since their major debut in 2010 and their concert tour this year is expected to draw lots of interest from the public.

FTIsland sold 37,000 copies of their first Japanese regular album ‘Five Treasure Island’ the week it was released and it also ranked 1st on the Oricon Weekly Chart. Tickets for their first Budokan solo concert sold out in 2 minutes and tickets for their Yokohama Arena live were also snapped up in 1 minute, proving their immense popularity in Japan.

Prior to their summer tour in Japan, FTIsland will be releasing their second Japanese regular album ’20 [twenty]’ on 16 May.
