FTIsland’s Lee Hongki has been casted as the main lead for the KBS Chuseok Special “Noriko, Goes to Seoul”.

“Noriko, Goes to Seoul” talks about the story of a lady in her 40s, Noriko, who is captivated by Hallyu star Kim Hyunjae, goes to Korea to take part in auditions. This TV-movie will not only be broadcasted in Korea, but also in Japan.

Lee Hongki plays the role of Minha, a singer-wannabe who met Noriko and is suddenly approached by her to teach her singing.

Lee Hongki has played the role of a Hallyu star in his previous Japanese drama “Muscle Girl”. With this new production, he will be able to firmly secure his career path as an actor.

FTIsland’s Lee Hongki announced the official start of his first leading role in the Japanese TBS drama “Muscle Girl”.

Lee Hongki attended the press conference of “Muscle Girl” on the 13th in Japan. He is currently staying in Japan for the filming of the drama.

Lee Hongki said that, “When I first heard that I was being casted in the drama, I felt stressful. But in fact, filming was fun and interesting. I hope to show it to everyone soon.”

His female partner for the drama, Japanese actress Ichikawa Yui, revealed that, “Lee Hongki is making a great progress in his proficiency of the Japanese language. I got a shock everytime I see him. [News] 110407 FTIsland, To Take Part in “Muscle Girl” OST

FTIsland will participate in the OST of the Japanese TBS drama “Muscle Girl”, also starring its member, Lee Hongki.

FTIsland’s Japanese management company, FNC Japan, said on the 7th, “FTIsland will be singing the main theme song for ‘Muscle Girl’, titled ‘Haruka’. Besides, they also have another OST song titled ‘Someday’ (いつか). The two songs are recorded in their first Japanese regular album titled ‘FIVE TREASURE ISLAND’, which is slated for release on 18th May.”

Drama “Muscle Girl” which is scheduled to air on 19th April, talks about a tough love story between a female owner of a pro-wrestling organization and a Korean star. Ichikawa Yui, Makami Kensei, Yamamoto Hikaru and other Japanese cast will also participate in the drama.

Group FTIsland’s Lee Hongki heads for Japan for his drama filming despite Japan’s earthquake aftershocks.

Lee Hongki left for Tokyo on 22nd to film his upcoming TBS and MBS drama “Muscle Girl”, which is slated to air next month.

His management company, FNC Music, revealed that, “Though there are still aftershocks occurring after the major earthquake in Japan, we’re unable to postpone the filming any longer. Until now, the crew has been safely focusing on filming.”

It has also been revealed that Lee Hongki is currently busy traveling between Japan and Korea and that he will concentrate only on his drama until the end of next month.
